Yūhi was a prominent pupil of the painter Shen Nan-p’in who introduced a new Chinese style of painting to Japan. Today that style is called Nagasaki because of the location where Nan-p’in worked. It was a decorative style of painting in which objects were drawn in a realistic way. This gallery includes twenty of Yūhi’s paintings. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
